Spirituality for busy people | spiritual workshop

The aim of these 5  workshops of Chapel for Europe is to help in living the faith in everyday life.

It will focus on aspects of personal, professional and spiritual development and it will include practical exercises.

Some tools from (not only) Jesuit spirituality will be proposed in order to improve life and to be a better leader
of oneself and of other people.

The 3rd spiritual workshop : Following Bible leaders, finding my own spiritual path

Sunday, March 3rd 2019; from 15:00 till 18h30 at Chapel for Europe (rue Van Maerlant 22-24, Brussels 1040)

“To seek to bring all men to salvation by one road is very dangerous. He who does so fails to understand how many and various are the gifts of the Holy Spirit,” said Saint Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits.

The workshop will focus on several strong personalities from the Bible, serving as archetypes. Male characters: Abraham (the Pilgrim), Jacob (the Father), Moses (the Leader), Solomon (the Lover), Peter (the Rock) and Paul (the Missionary).

Female characters: Deborah (the Judge), Esther (the Queen), Eve (the Mother), Judith (the Fighter), Mary Magdalene (the Passionate), and Martha and Mary (the Hostess and the Artist).

Reflecting on these characters (one can find himself/herself in one or more profiles) should help us to live our faith in our own unique way, given our life history, our sensibilities, our strong points and our weaknesses – to live creatively and to get in touch with the sources of our strength. There will be time for two biblical meditations inspired by two chosen biblical characters.
